Boys' Life Magazine 
Scouts read Boys' Life magazine. Look for the regular score of fiction, comics, jokes, Scouts in Action, Gifts and Gimmicks, and more in the latest issue of Boys' Life!

Youth Protection Training for Adults

Youth Protection Training for Cub Scout Leaders, Boy Scout Leaders and Adult Volunteers:

  • This training is mandated by the Greater Niagara Frontier Council for any adult who will be in contact with youth.
  • Mandatory before a unit may obtain a tour permit or camp on Council properties.
  • This training is available on the Council website (www.wnyscouting.org) with a test upon completion.
  • Also, offered at the beginning of all New Leader Essential Training courses
  • Cards are presented upon completion of this training to ensure compliance.
  • Time: approximately 90 minutes.
  • Youth Protection Training expires 5 years from the date of completion. Every registered adult leader or parent that comes in direct contact with youth members must renew youth protection training every 5 years.

Youth Protection Training for Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leaders:

  • An updated version of Youth Protection Training (YPT) has been developed and incorporated into the BSA Online Learning Center. This training is available in both English and Spanish.
